Undisputed highlight is the skijöring, a spectacular form of racing found only in St. Moritz: competitors are on skis, pulled by riderless thoroughbreds at speeds of up to 50 km/h along the 2,700-metre course. The feat demands equal measures of courage, skill, strength and fitness.
The large tent city, covering an area of 130,000 sq.m, offers attractions to guests of all ages including live music, gastronomic delicacies, shopping and a children´s play area. A colourful crowd of horse lovers, jockeys, trainers, owners, helpers, visitors, locals and celebrity guests ensures a glamorous atmosphere that has made the legendary event one of the highlights of the winter season.
Like many sporting events, Horse Racing in St Moritz is subject to the correct weather conditions and the lake being sufficiently frozen. The racing has only been cancelled twice in the last 30 meetings so it is very likely you will see the racing but in the event of racing being cancelled, the show goes on with music, bars, hospitality and entertainment.

St Moritz White Turf ‘Grand Prix’ Weekend does not include:

If the event has been cancelled due to an ‘Act of God’ then unfortunately you will not be refunded. If the event is postponed your booking will be transferred over to the new dates. If you cannot travel on the new dates we will either transfer your booking to a new event or we will work with you to provide a refund.
If you have booked a package with us that includes a flight, then you will receive an ATOL certificate with your confirmation documents.
