Florida Day School Hockey, Rugby & Volleyball Tour of the UK | Venatour Schools

 In Schools

Here at Venatour, we cater to all of your sporting needs, so naturally we were delighted to arrange a multi-sport tour for Argentian school Florida Day.

Hailing from Buenos Aires, September’s trip was the fourth consecutive tour that Venatour had created for Florida Day School.

Every Venatour school and group tour is bespoke and tailored to you, therefore when our clients requested a schedule jam-packed with cultural experiences, we happily obliged.

Upon touch down at Heathrow, the group were greeted by Venatour staff alongside an information pack, SIM cards, theatre tickets and oyster cards, before transferring to the heart of London for a tour of the Victoria & Albert Museum.

After the tour, the group were free to explore the capital at their leisure after transferring to London’s famous Notting Hill.

At the end of a long, but successful day, Florida Day checked in to their hotel before enjoying a meal to celebrate their first day on tour.

The following day, the group had a full day devoted to exploring the city. This was filled by checking off bucket list experiences such as visiting Buckingham Palace, Tower Bridge and the Tower of London.

In the evening, the group enjoyed a true London treat: a trip to the West End to watch the Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre.

After a final day in England’s bustling capital, the team set off to explore the rest of the UK.

The first stop was Venatour’s base, Cheltenham, where the team explored the historic town before hockey and rugby fixtures against Cheltenham College.

Next destination on the tour was Stratford-Upon-Avon, where the group enjoyed a tour around Shakespeare’s Birthplace and enjoyed a traditional English pub dinner in the evening.

Cambridge was the next stop in Florida Day’s schedule where the tourists played fixtures in rugby, hockey and volleyball against The Leys school, who were great hosts for the day.

After a day to explore the famous university town, the team headed to another beautiful student town – York.

The iconic city played host to Florida Day for a busy day that included the opportunity train at the world-class facilities of York University Sports Centre before fixtures against both boys and girls Volleyball Clubs.

After tours of Liverpool and Lancaster, the group arrived at their final destination – Edinburgh, the historic capital of Scotland.

Florida Day’s final round of fixtures were hockey and rugby matches against Fettes College, who again proves excellent hosts for the Argentinian outfit.

The last day was spent touring Edinburgh Castle and the rest of the city before Venatour wished the school a safe trip home.
