Parkside Prep School’s Tour of Wales
Parkside Prep’s rugby teams went on their very first rugby tour ably led by Brad Harvey. Their destination was Cardiff for a real rugby weekend.
They travelled down on the Friday and had a tour of Wales’s world-famous Principality Stadium to help set the mood.
On the Saturday morning, they played their first Anglo-Welsh matches against Llandaff Cathedral school which proved a great fillip for many of the new tourists. After the matches, the boys were able to see a little of the city including the imposing Castle.
It was then on to the Arms Park to take in the European Challenge match between the Cardiff Blues and Pau. The top try-scorer from RWC 2019, Josh Adams, was once more on fire claiming a hat-trick.
To round this very special rugby weekend, the team enjoyed a coaching clinic on Sunday morning with ex-Welsh U18 and Cardiff Met scrum-half Ellis Bevan. He described the Parkside squad as “really polite young boys and a pleasure to coach.”
After returning from their Welsh excursion, Brad described the tour as “fantastic” and went on to say “everything went to plan and the tour was a great success.”
