Venatour Racing Social have teamed up with Weatherbys to bring you a wonderful tour of France which includes a superb day of jump racing at Craon Racecourse, featuring the Crystal Cup Race. This lovely trip also offers a 3-night stay in the delightful city of Nantes, staying in a 4* Hotel and benefitting from extras such as a River Dinner Cruise, Private Tour of the Racecourse, Hospitality on Race Day, Visit to the French National Stud and further Stable Visit.
Nantes is a beautiful city renowned for its beautiful architecture, museums, fine dining, and lively nightlife, making it a popular destination for a city break.
The Sunday is race day and we head to Craon for their biggest meeting of the season, we have access to a private tour of the course along with hospitality at the racecourse, its sure to be a great day of racing. Our last day is a chance to explore the French countryside while visiting the French National Stud and Stables.
Saturday 31st August
- Morning flight from London Stansted, or London Gatwick to Nantes.
- On arrival, coach transfer to the 4* Oceania Hotel De France, Nantes for a three-night stay on a bed and breakfast basis.
- Afternoon at leisure and a chance to explore Nantes.
- Evening River Dinner Cruise along the River Edre on the Bateaux Nantaise. 4 Course Dinner along with wines and champagne included.
Sunday 1st September
- Breakfast at hotel.
- Transfers To Croan for the ‘Crystal Cup’ Race Day.
- Tour of the racecourse.
- An afternoon of racing with a party atmosphere and the Crystal Cup Cross Country Race, full hospitality included.
- Return transfer to the hotel for an evening at leisure.
Monday 2nd September
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Coach transfer to Haras de Lion, the French National Stud for a tour of the stud and a chance to meet some of the stallions.
- Lunch.
- We head to Haras des Sablonnets, the oldest stud farm in France and full of history.
- Final evening in Nantes with a chance to choose a suitable restaurant.
Tuesday 3rd September
- Breakfast at hotel.
- Check out.
- Morning at leisure for your final chance for photos and sightseeing.
- Return transfers and flight back to the UK.
