Following our hugely successful trip in 2023, we are back again for more of the ‘Killarney Craic’ in 2024, why not join us!
The Killarney July Meeting is the longest and one of the highlights of Killarney’s racing calendar and offers a mix of Flat and National Hunt Racing during the week.
We will be arriving on Wednesday which offers an evening of Flat Racing followed by Thursday’s Evening National Hunt Card and then Friday’s National Hunt Ladies Day normally attracting a capacity crowd.
Killarney is located in the South West of Ireland and is one of the friendliest towns in the country. It is nestled in a valley and surrounded by the magnificent McGillycuddy Reeks, Ireland’s highest mountain range.
The area is simply stunning, thousands of acres of National Park with the famous Killarney Lakes being the highlight along with being a stop for the Ring of Kerry.
The town itself is vibrant and really comes to life during the July Horse Racing Festival with the bars and restaurants providing the true Irish hospitality.
Wednesday 17th July
- Depart UK to Kerry.
- Transfers to Foley’s Townhouse or Scotts Hotel Killarney for a three-night stay on a bed and breakfast basis.
- Check In and start to get a feel of Killarney as we are located in the heart!
- The first evening of racing and its on the flat – Option for Panoramic Restaurant upgrade.
Thursday 18th July
- Breakfast at Hotel.
- Day at leisure, with so many options… Golf, Ring of Kerry Tour, Boat Trip or some lovely walks.
- Its evening racing again but this time we are over the jumps.
Friday 19th July
- Breakfast at Hotel.
- Morning at leisure with some sightseeing or shopping.
- It’s Ladies Day and the biggest crowd of the week will descend on the racecourse, it is brilliant fun and what Irish Racing is all about!
- Optional group meal at local restaurant, the town is buzzing and such a great atmosphere.
Saturday 20th July
- Breakfast at Hotel.
- Morning at leisure and time to chill.
- Transfers to Airport.
- Depart Kerry to UK.
- Return flights from UK to Ireland.
- Airport transfers as indicated in the itinerary.
- Accommodation on bed and breakfast basis as indicated in the itinerary.
- Race day transfer arrangements as indicated in the itinerary.
- Guaranteed official race day tickets for 3 days racing.
- Official tour merchandise.
- An experienced Venatour Tour Manager.
