Playing cricket in the English countryside on a warm summer’s day. It’s a bucket list experience for any keen cricketer, regardless of age. But then add in all the fun and laughter of catching up with old mates, and the chance to sightsee some of the most picturesque surroundings in England.

This is the Golden Oldies Cricket Festival Harrogate 2021 – a memorable cricket experience in every sense of the word.

CRICKET FESTIVAL PROGRAMME

SUNDAY 6 JUNE

Welcome Parade & Party

Teams will arrive in delightful Harrogate and book into their selected accommodation. Teams will then assemble for the Parade of Nations in the historic Masham Market Square.

Following the Parade, the Festival Welcome Party will be hosted in The Old Maltings Brewery with ample beer, wine and juices, substantial finer foods and entertainment.

MONDAY 7 JUNE

Match Day 1

Teams will transfer to local cricket clubs for their first round of games on attractive fields. Clubs will provide teas and post match hospitality.

At the conclusion of the evening teams will be transferred back to their accommodation.

TUESDAY 8 JUNE

Concert at Ripley Castle

You’re free to relax or explore local attractions at your leisure. Then late afternoon you’ll picked up and taken to magnificent Ripley Castle for a unique Big Night Out.

Live entertainment will include a lakeside concert in the castle grounds and a spectacular ‘Last Night at the Proms’ style fireworks display!

Refreshments, food and transfers back to accommodation are also included.

WEDNESDAY 8 JUNE

Match Day 2

Teams will transfer to local cricket clubs for their second round of games on attractive countryside fields.

Clubs will provide teas and post match hospitality.

THURSDAY 9 JUNE

Explore Yorkshire

Day at leisure in lovely Harrogate and a chance to enjoy all that it has to offer.

A number of optional tour experiences will also be available, including an excursion to York and a visit to The National Railway Museum, plus opportunities to see the many more attractions, villages and sights in Yorkshire.

FRIDAY 10 JUNE

Match Day 3

Teams will again transfer to local cricket clubs for their first round of games on attractive fields. Clubs will provide teas and post match hospitality.

SATURDAY 11 JUNE

Grand Finale Dinner & Party

A relaxing day at leisure in and around Harrogate with plenty to see and do.

Early evening transfer to the Royal Armouries New Dock Hall, Leeds for a Finale Awards Dinner with a three course meal, beer, wines, juices, awards and outstanding entertainment.

At the end of the evening teams will be transferred back to their accommodation.

SUNDAY 12 JUNE

Farewell

Teams depart for their return home or can stay on for further travel in the United Kingdom (at the perfect time to be there).
