Awaken to a different world!
It’s Africa, but not as you know it. Vast swathes of the country are either desert or semi arid desert which makes for some interesting fauna and flora, seldom found in your more traditional parts of Africa. This means you can expect excellent weather and playing conditions whilst out here on tour.
You can tour Namibia on it’s own, but more often than not it is a great add on to a tour to South Africa. The Cold Benguela Current runs up the coast of Namibia, and the result is one of the oldest deserts in the country. Get up early to see the magical mist that rolls in off the ocean when based in Walvis Bay.

CULTURE
What was South West Africa is now a multi cultural society with strong links to Germany and South Africa. You can see plenty of German influence in the architecture and certainly the food. The currency is linked to the Rand – so expect great value steak!
Activities
Etosha Game Reserve is a fantastic experience and somewhere you are unlikely to get to again in a hurry. With it’s arid conditions, the water holes are a magnet for the wildlife and you can while away many an hour watching the game come and go. The Cheetah rehabilitation centre is also an excellent visit. For some fun try dune buggies around Swakopmund. Some charity work can also be arranged enabling you give a little back to the communities.
Accommodation
An excellent standard of hotels throughout Namibia, offering good clean affordable accommodation, with buffet breakfasts to set you up for the day! Up in Etosha the camps in the National Park offer great basic accom with all the amenities you could expect – many with great views of water holes which offer excellent game viewing opportunities whilst not out on the road.
