Amla retires from international cricket

Just days after fellow countryman Dale Steyn retired from test cricket, South African batsman Hashim Amla has called time on his international career.

Since making his test debut in 2004, Amla is South Africa’s second highest run scorer of all time with 9,282 runs in 124 match, including an incredible 311 against England in 2012.

He also played 181 One Day Internationals scoring 8113 runs and 44 T20I. In total, he scored more than 18,000 runs across all formats for with 55 centuries in 349 matches.
