Matthew Hoggard MBE is one of the most successful international cricketers to have played for England.
Beginning his career at his boyhood county of Yorkshire, Hoggard was soon drafted into the England squad. A vital cog in the famous team that won the 2005 Ashes, Hoggard was instrumental in securing the victory with his performance with the bat instead of the ball.
After amassing 248 wickets in an England career that spanned the best part of a decade, Hoggard remains a member of England’s top 10 highest wicket takers.
